CSV format requirements

Required and recommended columns for successful trade imports.

Your CSV should include headers in the first row. Trade Optic needs enough data to identify each trade uniquely.

Required: symbol/instrument, direction (buy/sell or long/short), entry and exit prices or P/L.
Required: open and close timestamps or a single trade date.
Recommended: position size/volume, fees, commission, trade ID or ticket number.

Files with inconsistent date formats or mixed delimiters may fail partially. Use UTF-8 encoding and comma-separated values.
