By creating an account, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription, connecting a trading account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use Trade Optic.

2. What Trade Optic is
Trade Optic is a trading journal, analytics and productivity platform. It is designed to help you record, organise, review and analyse your own trading activity.
Depending on the version available to you, the Service may include:
- Manual trade logging and trading journals;
- Trade-performance analytics and reports;
- Strategy tracking;
- Goals, achievements and behavioural insights;
- Pattern analysis and Personal Trading DNA features;
- AI-powered analysis, summaries and chat functionality;
- Screenshot or chart analysis;
- Market news and economic-calendar information;
- Broker and trading-account connections;
- Automated import of closed-trade data; and
- Other trading-related organisational, analytical or educational tools.
We may add, update, suspend or remove features as Trade Optic develops.
3. Trade Optic is not a broker or financial adviser
Trade Optic is software. We are not your broker, custodian, investment manager, portfolio manager or financial adviser.
Trade Optic does not:
- Hold your money, investments or trading-account assets;
- Place, execute, amend or close trades on your behalf;
- Manage your portfolio or exercise discretion over your account;
- Provide personalised investment, financial, tax or legal advice; or
- Guarantee any trading or investment outcome.
Nothing on the Service, including analytics, AI outputs, market data, patterns, statistics, reports or other insights, is a personal recommendation to buy, sell, hold or avoid any financial instrument.
You are solely responsible for your trading decisions. If you need regulated financial advice, consult an appropriately authorised professional.
4. Trading risk
Trading and investing involve significant risk. You may lose some or all of the money you commit to trading or investing.
Past performance does not guarantee future results. No statistic, historical pattern, AI output, market information or feature within Trade Optic can predict future markets with certainty.
Do not trade money you cannot afford to lose.
5. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, start a free trial, purchase a subscription or use the Service.
By using Trade Optic, you confirm that you are at least 18 and legally able to enter into these Terms. We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe this requirement has not been met.
6. Your account
You must provide accurate and current information when creating an account and keep it reasonably up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account, except where the activity results from something for which we are legally responsible. Tell us promptly at support@tradeoptic.io if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You must not share your account, use another person's account without permission, or attempt to access another user's information.
7. Subscription, free trial and billing
Unless a different price or offer is clearly shown at checkout, Trade Optic is offered as:
- A 7-day free trial; followed by
- £9.99 GBP per month;
- Automatically renewing monthly until cancelled.
A valid payment method may be required to begin a trial. By starting a trial or paid subscription, you authorise our payment provider, currently Stripe, to charge your chosen payment method in line with the price, trial and billing information shown at checkout.
If you do not cancel before your trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription and you will be charged £9.99 for the first billing period. It will then renew monthly until cancelled.
We may restrict repeated, fraudulent or abusive use of free trials.
8. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel through the subscription-management or billing functionality made available in your Trade Optic account.
If you cancel before the end of your free trial, you will not be charged for the first paid month. If you cancel after a paid billing period begins, you will normally retain paid access until the end of that period and will not be charged again at the next renewal.
Payment processing is provided by Stripe. Trade Optic does not intend to store your full payment-card number, CVC or complete card credentials.
Refund requests will be considered fairly and in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in these Terms removes statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded, including any consumer rights relating to digital services.
9. Price changes
We may change subscription prices in the future. Where required, we will give reasonable advance notice before a material price change applies to a future renewal. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
10. Broker and trading-account connections
Trade Optic may allow you to connect supported broker or trading accounts. The available connection method may be direct, through a third-party connection provider, or through a supported MetaTrader account.
When you choose to connect an account, you authorise Trade Optic and the relevant connection provider to access and process the information needed to provide that connection. Depending on the connection, this may include account identifiers, account metadata, trade history, instruments, entry and exit details, timestamps, positions, order or execution information, and profit-and-loss data.
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring you are authorised to connect the account;
- Providing accurate connection details;
- Keeping your broker and Trade Optic credentials secure; and
- Reviewing imported information against your broker's official records.
Trade Optic does not execute trades through these connections. We only use them to import relevant account and closed-trade information for journaling and analysis.
Broker connections rely on independent brokers, APIs and connection providers. They can be delayed, unavailable, inaccurate, incomplete, changed or discontinued. We cannot guarantee that a particular connection will always be available or that imported data will be complete or error-free.
Your relationship with your broker remains governed by that broker's terms. Trade Optic is not responsible for the services your broker provides.
11. AI features
Trade Optic may use artificial intelligence to provide summaries, pattern recognition, insights, conversational assistance, screenshot or chart analysis, and other features.
AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, unsuitable for your circumstances or based on incomplete information. They are not guaranteed and must not be treated as financial advice, a trading signal or a substitute for your independent judgement.
You are responsible for checking information before relying on it or making any trading decision.
12. Your content and data
You may provide trade data, journal entries, notes, screenshots, strategy information, goals, preferences and other content ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, analyse and display it only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and provide the Service.
You confirm that you have the right to upload or connect all User Content and accounts you use with Trade Optic. You must not upload unlawful content or content that infringes another person's rights.
Our handling of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
13. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the Service unlawfully or fraudulently;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, accounts or systems;
- Interfere with the security, availability or operation of the Service;
- Upload malicious code or harmful material;
- Scrape, copy or extract data from the Service in breach of law or these Terms;

14. Intellectual property
Trade Optic, including its software, branding, designs, interfaces, databases, features and content, is owned by or licensed to us unless otherwise stated.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service while you have permitted access and comply with these Terms. No ownership rights in Trade Optic are transferred to you.
15. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party providers, which may include providers of payment processing, hosting, authentication, database services, AI services, broker connectivity, communications, market data, analytics, security and monitoring.
These providers may have their own terms and privacy policies. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for independent third-party services or for their outages, acts or omissions.
16. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, available, secure or error-free.
The Service may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical issues, third-party outages or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We may modify the Service where reasonably necessary, including to improve security, comply with law, maintain compatibility or develop new functionality.
17. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access where reasonably necessary, including where you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, create security or legal risk, attempt fraud or abuse, or where we are legally required to do so.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we will give notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue.
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can request account deletion by contacting support@tradeoptic.io, subject to our Privacy Policy and any legal obligations to retain certain information.
18. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, Trade Optic is not responsible for trading losses, investment losses, missed opportunities or market outcomes arising from your use of the Service or your reliance on analytics, market information, AI outputs or other Service features.
We do not guarantee profitability, trading performance, market results, data accuracy or the availability of any broker connection.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service will not exceed the greater of £100 or the fees you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
19. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data. Our Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in those policies.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security requirements or our business practices.
If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice where required by law. The "Last updated" date shows when these Terms were most recently revised.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections under the law of the country where you live. Nothing in these Terms removes any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
